Part #2 The Best Bike Trails in Australia’s Capital Cities, according to us, again!

What are the best bike trails in Australia?

Last blog we focused on Sydney and Melbourne, but let's not leave out the rest of the countries capital cities...

Our next instalment on where the best bike trails are in Oz, and what to enjoy when you are there.

Brisbane

Brisbane city is located in an area close to the shoreline of the Brisbane River, where the weather for most of the year makes it easy to get out and about, and an ebike is the perfect way to enjoy the city.

There are many cycling trails in Brisbane, but we had to choose our top 3, here they are….

Brisbane River Loop: Not the old country town anymore, Brisbane is vibrant and has loads to offer, especially on an old skool chopper bike.  This bike trail takes you from South Bank all the way to Indooroopilly, hugging the beautiful river.  Take your time, stop in at the GOMA Art Gallery, cafes and restaurants at Southbank, and take your time back to stop in at Howard Smith Wharves  for an afternoon beverage watching the city come alive.  This is the best way to take in Brisbane.

Wynnum To Manly Shoreline: Take in the beautiful sights of Moreton Bay looking out o the many islands in the Bay.  From Wynnum to Manly along the foreshore it is a cruising afternoon on your ebike, you could do a few loops, take in a pub lunch at either the Waterloo Hotel or stop in down at Manly Marina.  Plenty of places  to stop in and have a picnic if you take your own. This is a great way to spend your weekend.

Mount Coot-tha Loop: This bitumen cycle way is a favourite for many cycling enthusiasts, from road racing to take it easy chill out Sunday cycling, 9.5km of fun awaits you.  Take in the breathtaking views, stop in for a coffee or some lunch at the top and even take in the beautiful Botanical Gardens.  You could literally spend your entire day riding, exploring and having an ebike adventure like no other.

Perth

Perth is a great city to explore, that being said, how about adventuring on an electric bike to see more of this great city.

Swan River Cycle Trails: There are 5 cycle trails that are included in the Swan River Cycle Trails.  Lots of fun to be had, and if you are thinking of spending a few weeks in row taking in the sights of Perth, then this is the way to do it.  From easy 3km up to 18km rides, you and your ebike will get out and about and take in the beautiful scenery.

Marmion To Burns Beach: Ride the sunset.  14 km of cycleway track for the most epic sunset ride of your life.  If you haven’t seen the sun set over the ocean, then this is the place to do it.  Take in the beauty of the West Coast riding from Marmion to Burns Beach.  Stop for a picnic, have a coffee, relax and enjoy.

Kings Park: Beautiful Kings Park has many diverse cycling routes and is in one of the largest city parks in the world, it is bigger than New York's City’s Central Park.  Take in the views, wildlife and botanical gardens long the way.

Have you been out enjoying the views and have a favourite bike trail we haven't mentioned?  Let us know, we'd love to hear about it and share your story.
