Best Cycling Trails

Sydney

Sydney is a top cycling city because of the vast diversity of routes and trails. These vary from the long, flat rides to shorter elevation climbs and technical descents. It’s important to know what kind of cyclist you are to determine which route will be best for you.

Cooks River Cycleway: One of Sydney’s oldest and most frequented rides.  Start at Settlers Park and cross the Parramatta River to the eastern side of Ryde Bridge.  Journey through parks, mangroves and historical sites. Plenty of places to stop and catch your breath, have a rest or take in some lunch.

The Centennial Parklands Loop – This looped ride starts at Centennial Park and goes through several parks and around the Cahill Expressway before returning to Centennial Park.  Beautiful way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Tempe to Kurnell: Start at Tempe Recreation Reserve and make your way over the Cooks River on the shared pathway and down towards Brighton-Le-Sands and Sans Souci where you’ll hug the coast of Botany Bay. There are plenty of places to grab food along this stretch before you venture over Captain Cook Bridge. Once over, keep left and continue on the cycle path until you eventually reach Captain Cook Drive, where you’ll stay on this all the way to Kurnell.

Melbourne

As one of the world's most popular cycling destinations, Melbourne offers some incredible biking experiences for cyclists of all abilities.

The Great Dividing Trail: Take your pick from many bike trails and walks in this amazing part of Victoria.  Whilst a little out of Melbourne, it is the perfect place for a weekend of adventure, your new ebike and seeing some of Australia’s most beautiful bushland.  Over 300km of tracks to take your breath away, and a EzRiderz Sledz will make it a breeze.

Lysterfield Park Mountain Bike Trails: Natures playground at its best.  Whilst this park is made primarily for mountain bikers hosting over 19 different trails, there are some great trails for beginners that will get you out and feel the rush of ebiking at its best.  Start with the Lake Circuit - easy 6.3 km ride and try your hand at stepping it up to one of the 7 intermediate trails once you have got your bearings.

The Yarra Trail: Sometimes living in your own city you find treasures, a jewel in the crown, and the Yarra Trail is one of those.  18 km of bike, and walking trails that hug the beautiful Yarra River into the Melbourne CBD.  Plan your day out to include stopping in at some of Melbourne's finest cafés or restaurants, take a picnic rug and chill on the banks of this historical river, home to a green corridor with native bushland, birds, billabongs and indigenous culture.
