Battery Safety
How to keep your e-bike battery safe, healthy and long-lasting.
Charging
Always use the charger supplied with your bike. Charge in a dry, well-ventilated area away from flammable materials, and never leave a battery charging unattended overnight.
Storage
Store the battery between 0°C and 25°C. If you're not riding for a week or more, store it at around 50–60% charge — not fully charged or fully empty. Avoid leaving it in a hot car or direct sun.
Handling & damage
Never charge or use a battery that is swollen, leaking, hot to the touch, or has visible impact damage. Stop use immediately and bring it to the workshop for inspection.
Disposal
Lithium batteries must never go in household bin or general waste. Bring your end-of-life battery to us and we'll recycle it through a certified e-waste handler — free for bikes bought from Ezriderz.
